Highlights of 71st National Film Awards Ceremony in Delhi

Introduction

The 71st National Film Awards ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 23rd September. The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, honored Vikrant Messey, Rani Mukherjee, Shah Rukh Khan, and Mohanlal, among others, for their significant contribution to Indian cinema.

Six Child Actors Awarded

Non-featured Film Awards

The President stated that in India, cinema reflects the true spirit of diversity and the democratic system of Bharat. Just with the enhancement of literature within various Indian languages, cinema has also emerged as a vibrant and energetic expression of the cultural richness of India. Furthermore, she stated that films provide entertainment to the audience and also provide a mode of awakening society, as well as spread awareness among youth and instill compassion.

The President also determined to maximize the presence of women within the Indian cinema, which served them equal opportunities, which helped them to attain unique success and excel in their field. At last, she concluded by showing her appreciation for the evolving and young talents.
